HOW IS THE SCENERY IN ALGARVE?
Algarve appeals to a wide range of tourists:
Here we are going to guide you through Algarve and the reasons on how and why it became a reference worldwide.
As the Telegraph so eloquently put it:
You might think you only need a car to get to the beach and back but it really is worth turning off the beaten track to see the hidden Algarve in all its beauty. Inland, there are groves of cork trees, olive trees with storks nesting on them and white-washed villages, covered with deep pink bougainvillea, where men with weathered faces and flat caps fill the cafés in the main square. Drive along the coast, and you will pass field after field of wildflowers, tiny stone chapels and views of the blue sea at every turn, a drive worth dallying over.

HOW CAN YOU GET FROM FARO TO ALBUFEIRA?
Unfortunately, it is not easy to get from Faro Airport to Albufeira. Public Transportation is extremely limited and most tourists either pre-book a private transfer or get a shared transfer from the airport. Should you get a taxi? That is up to you in the end, but we’ve to warn you that it might surpass a fee of 70€. Uber and other companies are present in the Algarve, but they still charge a lot comparing with other options. But, as we have said, that is up to you to choose.
If you are going to take our suggestion with public transportation, we recommend the following:
- Faro airport to Faro city (by bus)
- Faro to Albufeira (by bus or train)
- Albufeira bus/train station to your hotel (by taxi, bus or walk)
Our final suggestion, from Faro Airport to your hotel in Albufeira, is to pre-book a private transfer, which costs €32/€64 (one way/return) for up to four people. During the summertime Faro airport can be chaotic, with massive queues for everything; so, it is always best to pre-book before arriving.
WHERE CAN WE STAY?
We recommend the following hotels:
